What is PouchTech™ and why do your Active range have it?
In a nutshell, we created our signature pouch to create better airflow around what scientists (don’t) call your package. To get very technical for just a second, the pouch is a specially-designed area that lifts and separates your bits and pieces, below the belt – resulting in less chafing, less sweating, and more airflow.
What's the difference between your Active and Everyday designs?
Our Active style is perfect for someone who favours comfort while also being active during the day, as they are designed with our signature pouch, which lifts and separates your penis from your plums. They also have a specially-designed opening at the front that both allows more air to circulate around your private parts, and gives you easy access when going to the bathroom.
Our Everyday style is suited for everyday wear and comes without the pouch and fly. There is still a larger front than most normal boxers, which prevents any awkward readjustments during the day. The underwear also has our signature soft fabric and anti-ride up and anti-chafing design.
What's the difference between your Boxer Brief and Trunk designs?
Our Boxer Briefs are longer than our Trunks and may be better suited to those customers who are more prone to chafing. The exact leg length depends on the size chosen, but generally our Boxer Briefs are around 5cm longer in the leg than our Trunks.
Why do you call each item a ‘pair of pants’?
Watch out, grammar and history lessons incoming: the word ‘pants’ definitely originates from ‘Pantaloon’, a comic character from Italy’s historic commedia dell’arte who wore trousers which were made of two parts, and tied at the waist.
Over the years, the term ‘a pair of pants’ has stuck, so the word ‘pants’ is now considered a plurale tantum (that’s Latin for 'plural only', FYI) – or in other words, it’s a special sort of noun that’s always a plural, even when referring to a single item.
Scissors, jeans, news and (appropriately enough) genitals are other examples. Who knew the FAQ section could be educational?
